May 11, 2013 - There is a new restaurant bringing a locally sourced contemporary American menu to St. Charles. prasino opened on April 22 and is located in the Streets of St. Charles development, at the former site of Noah’s Ark restaurant.
prasino, which is Greek for “green”, is a sophisticated, sustainable minded, eco-friendly restaurant. The varied menu created by Executive Chef Jared Case covers breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night. Menu items accommodate diverse dietary preferences including gluten free and vegan dishes.

All-day vittles range from morning munchies (brulee-battered pretzel croissant French toast w/ white chocolate sauce and salted caramel), to savory short rib tacos w/ queso fresco and poblano cream, to ancho-braised lamb shank w/ smashed taters, feta, and spicy olives, which got kicked out of the beauty pageant, but in doing so apparently taught their family a lesson about the healing power of Rick James. Or something.
